Carbon dioxide gas fire extinguisher is based on c02 gas. It expels carbon dioxide gas which works by removing the oxygen supply from the burning area which shuts off the fire. Water cannot be used in case of fire-related to electricity or due to flammable liquids like oil, paints, petrol, diesel, etc, as in case of electric fire there is a high risk of shock as water is a very good conductor of electricity.
